Holiday Eating Setback

The holidays are a hard time to live with FLD. I am proud to say I made it with a minimal amount of complications.

I admit, from Thanksgiving to New Years I didn't eat very well at all. I tried to keep everything in moderation though. I ate one cookie instead of three. I had 1 cup of cocoa instead of 2. Even when I was splurging I tried really hard to remember my motto of moderation.

Now it's a new year and we're back to normal life. The holiday rush is over and that means it's back to normal eating.

I'm actually trying something new this year. My whole family has decided to try Nutrisystem D. The 'D' is for diabetic. It's high protein, low glycemic, which is great for FLD patients as well as diabetics. I'm going to try it for 2 months and see how it goes. I'll keep you up to date on how that works for me.

I'm currently limited on exercise as I have a severely pulled muscle in my leg. A couple of more weeks and I can get back to normal with that. In the meantime I'm pretty much limited to upper body work outs.

I managed to lose 60 lbs since my diagnosis. I'm hopeful that 2014 will bring forth even more weight loss and improved health. I wish that for myself and for you as well. Happy New Year!
